Meet the nomads.
Uninhibited and unconstrained, our people are not hard to pin down. Just don’t try to put them in a box.

What is Nomad8
Nomad8 is a home for consultants. We share our knowledge, resources and experiences. We help each other, learn from each other, have each other’s backs. We are each other’s ‘other’ family – the one we get to choose.
We like to think our model is pretty unique, a tightly-wound organization of like-minded, passionate people working together for the collective good of the business and the people we work with.
Team
Sandy Mamoli
One of NZ’s leading Agile coaches, Sandy is an accomplished presenter, published book author and former Olympic athlete. A force of positive energy, Sandy is hands-on, no-nonsense and steeped in Agile. She’s the co-author of “Creating Great Teams – How Self-Selection Lets People Excel”. Sandy is an international keynote speaker specialising in High-Performance Teams.
Sam Laing
Sam wants people to be happy and productive at work. Working with purpose and meaning and joy. From starting out as a software developer, she now uses and enthuses about agile with many different industries and teams. A regular speaker at international agile conferences, she has co-authored a number of books on agile and Scrum. She is mildly obsessed with her dogs.
Gill Hemphill
Gill is passionate about business agility. She uses her background in UX and design thinking, to work with teams and organisations to build empathy for the user and products their customers will love, and she does all that with a smile and infectious laugh.
Jared Davies
Jared is an experienced Agile Coach and has worked in many different industries. He loves to help individuals, teams and organisations be successful. In a former life he was a Software Engineer, founded a tech start-up, these days while he's not coaching you are more likely to find him in front of a pizza oven twirling Neapolitan pizzas.
Tony O'Halloran
Tony uses his background in development to bridge the gap between IT and the rest of the business. He’s an Agile coach and facilitator who’s not afraid to address dysfunction, but always brings positivity and a sense of fun to his work. He is a terrible ukulele player and fearless mountain biker.
Brenda Leeuwenberg
A digital strategist with a strong agency background, Brenda brings extensive skills and experience to any new challenge. From being Head of Digital and Innovation at NZ On Air, Brenda then created the National Strategy for Financial Capability for the Retirement Commission. She applies some coaching magic to a few select clients and keeps the Nomad8 machine humming as well.
David Mole
David is a talented Agile coach, facilitator and trainer. He designed a new and innovative method for forming new teams with Sandy Mamoli and authored the book 'Creating Great Teams: How Self-Selection Let's People Excel'. He brings a fresh and fun approach to his work, and when he's not helping Agile teams, you might find him out running half-marathons.
Harry Tucker
Through a love of learning, coaching, and product development, Harry seeks to help teams and organisations thrive. He’s driven to help people and teams do their best work, and have fun doing it. He likes to speak about himself in the third person, and is an even more fearless mountain biker than Tony.
Paulius Tuzikas
Paulius is the only Europe-based nomad at this point. He brings his experience in product management and Agile coaching to help teams improve, experiment and work towards delivering value continuously. He is passionate about personal development and is a co-author of the personal growth framework for Agile Coaches.
Scott Nepia
Scott is a passionate advocate for the Agile team. His experience as a business analyst and scrum-master makes him an ideal coach. He has a great instinct for what the team needs and loves to see that knowledge and enthusiasm spread within his clients.
Anthony Boobier
Anthony brings calm pragmatism to a project team. Tactfully navigating the ups and downs of corporate ridiculousness, Anthony can coach reluctant Agile appointees into a smoothly functioning dream team. He genuinely loves Lean UX.
Gavin Coughlan
Gavin is an Agile Coach and trainer who has been around the block many, many times. He is grounded in practice and loves helping people build the right thing at the right time, whilst feeling purposeful and fulfilled along the way. Working with organisations to make this possible is what gets him up in the morning, well, along with buying records.
Future nomads
If you are an experienced consultant, want to work in a manager-less organisation with full autonomy and are passionate about agile, and are not a tosser, we'd love to hear from you.
