Meet the nomads.
Uninhibited and unconstrained, our people are not hard to pin down. Just don’t try to put them in a box.

What is Nomad8
Nomad8 is a home for consultants. We share our knowledge, resources and experiences. We help each other, learn from each other, have each other’s backs. We are each other’s ‘other’ family – the one we get to choose.
We like to think our model is pretty unique, a tightly-wound organization of like-minded, passionate people working together for the collective good of the business and the people we work with.
Team
Sam Laing
Sam wants people to be happy and productive at work. Working with purpose and meaning and joy. From starting out as a software developer, she now uses and enthuses about agile with many different industries and teams. A regular speaker at international agile conferences, she has co-authored a number of books on agile and Scrum. She is mildly obsessed with her dogs.
Sacha Adair
Sacha has been in the coaching and transformation game for over 10 years. She is a genuine, grounded and passionate coach with a 'people first' approach. Sacha packages up her bag-of-tricks to best suit the client's needs, and is driven by setting people, teams, and businesses up for ongoing success. Sacha is also a health nut, double black-belt, and (sometimes) fearless skier.
David Mole
Agile Coach, trainer and presenter, book author and all round great guy. David brings a fresh and fun approach to coaching and facilitation. He often loses on the football pitch, wins at poker tables and takes every opportunity to injure himself creatively. He’s the co-author of “Creating Great Teams – How Self-Selection Let’s People Excel”.
Anthony Boobier
Anthony brings calm pragmatism to a project team. Tactfully navigating the ups and downs of corporate ridiculousness, Anthony can coach reluctant Agile appointees into a smoothly functioning dream team. He genuinely loves Lean UX.
Gavin Coughlan
Gavin is an Agile Coach and trainer who has been around the block many, many times. He is grounded in practice and loves helping people build the right thing at the right time, whilst feeling purposeful and fulfilled along the way. Working with organisations to make this possible is what gets him up in the morning, well, along with buying records.
Paulius Tuzikas
Paulius brings his experience in product management and Agile coaching to help teams improve, experiment and work towards delivering value continuously. He is passionate about personal development and is a co-author of the personal growth framework for Agile Coaches.
Shirley Tricker
Shirley is an Agile coach with experience in a range of IT roles and a desire to help people to be adaptable and fulfilled at work. She’s an active contributor to the Tech community, organising conferences, mentoring and volunteering. In. 2019 she completed a Masters of Technological Futures at Tech Futures Lab.
Scott Nepia
Scott is a passionate advocate for the Agile team. His experience as a business analyst and scrum-master makes him an ideal coach. He has a great instinct for what the team needs and loves to see that knowledge and enthusiasm spread within his clients.
Tony O'Halloran
Tony uses his background in development to bridge the gap between IT and the rest of the business. He’s an Agile coach and facilitator who’s not afraid to address dysfunction, but always brings positivity and a sense of fun to his work. He is a terrible ukulele player and fearless mountain biker.
Brenda Leeuwenberg
A digital strategist with a strong agency background, Brenda has extensive experience with the creative sector, having recently been the Head of Digital and Innovation at NZ On Air. She now keeps the Nomad8 machine running smoothly and applies some coaching magic to a few select clients.
Richard Scott-Will-Harknett
Richard is an optimistic pragmatist, easy going but outcome focused. For him it’s all about doing whatever it takes to sustainably deliver great outcomes with engaged teams. He’s applied his free-range approach in start-ups through to multinationals. In addition to being a deeply experienced agile practitioner he is also an accredited professional coach with the International Coaching Community.
Sandy Mamoli
One of NZ’s leading Agile coaches, Sandy is an accomplished presenter, published book author and former Olympic athlete. A force of positive energy, Sandy is hands-on, no-nonsense and steeped in Agile. She’s the co-author of “Creating Great Teams – How Self-Selection Lets People Excel”. Sandy is an international keynote speaker specialising in High-Performance Teams.
