He loves helping companies create great the right agile environments and is highly respected for his facilitation and workshop design skills. He has succeeded in transforming and accelerating big, small, traditional and fast-growing organisations across the UK, Gibraltar and New Zealand.
Where it all began
David's foray into agile ways of working started in 2007 while working in the sports betting and online poker industry in Europe, incidentally he was trying to make it as a professional poker player on the side.
At a time when most people were still writing giant requirements documents (that nobody read by the way!), a select group of companies were moving quickly, trying new things, and working incredibly well as small Agile teams. Combining this with his sporting education as a semi-professional football player in England, formal qualifications in Sports Psychology along with coaching experience in a wide range of sports including football, tennis and cricket, he has since found his skills ideal to lead the agile quest at companies such Trade Me, ASB and Xero.
In 2015 he published the book 'Creating Great Teams', co-authored with his Nomad8 colleague Sandy Mamoli. Since then he has been presenting on the topic of designing and creating agile teams at international conferences in the US, UK, Australia and New Zealand.
