What is Self Selection?
People are most engaged and productive when they choose what they work on and who they work with. Self-selection puts that power in the hands of those doing the work, creating motivated, high-performing teams.
Inspired by Daniel Pink’s principles of Autonomy, Mastery, and Purpose, self-selection fosters collaboration, growth, and the pursuit of shared goals. With clear roles and transparent rules, teams are formed based on both strengths and passions—ensuring alignment and success from the start.
Creating Great Teams offers step-by-step instructions to help you build, refine, or redesign teams efficiently, unlocking your organization’s full potential.
