Part One: Discovery - Understanding your ecosystem:
- Introduction to Product Ownership and the value exchange - understanding where value lies in product development
- How to approach and understand your ecosystem of users, customers and stakeholders.
- Understanding your stakeholder context, and learning how to develop stakeholder empathy
Learn how to really know your customer and develop empathy in order to create valued solutions and products
Tools & techniques: customer/stakeholder wheel, stakeholder mapping, discovery questions, ladder of evidence, discovery interviews, empathy mapping
Part Two: Discovery - Framing the opportunity:
- Using tools and techniques to discover the problem
Framing the problem by understanding what it is, who it is for, how you will address it etc.
Tools & techniques: Opportunity Tree Mapping, Jobs To Be Done framework, Working with constraints, Opportunity Canvas
Part Three: Assumptions and Learning:
- Understand the assumptions you make and how they fit in your process
How to test assumptions and work with prototypes and experiments
Tools & techniques: Assumption Mapping, Desirability / Feasibility / Viability framework, Hypothesis testing, Experiment cards
Part Four: Assumptions and Learning:
- Understand the assumptions you make and how they fit in your process

ICAgile Professional Qualification
Nomad8’s ICAgile Product Ownership training course is accredited by the International Consortium for Agile (ICAgile). Successfully completing the course will give you an ‘ICAgile Product Ownership certification’.
Pre-requisites
This certification builds on the ICAgile Professionals (ICP) certification which you can get through our ICAgile Foundations course or through self-study.
While it’s a good idea to take the Foundations course first, you can take the courses in the order that suits you best.
